About Dr. Robert Landsberg |
|
|
Born in Toronto,
Ontario, Canada, Dr. Robert P. Landsberg enjoys dual citizenship
and has been practicing medicine in the United States since
1984. He is board certified as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Canada
and the United States and has lived in Hendersonville, Tennessee
since 1993.
|
Dr. Landsberg is the winner of the John Charnley Award for "The
Effect of the Endoprosthetic Mismatch and Metal and Non-Metal
Backed Acetabular Components of 'In Vitro' Pelvic Stress." The
John Charnley award is given each year to one recipient for best
hip research study worldwide in Orthopaedic Surgery.
During residency, Dr. Landsberg trained with Dr. Richard J.
Hawkins of the world-famous
Steadman-Hawkins Clinic of Vail, Colorado and Greenville,
South Carolina. He also trained with
Dr. Peter Fowler, of the world-famous Fowler-Kennedy Sports
Medicine Clinic in London, Ontario, Canada.
It is very important to Dr. Landsberg that he
remains active in the community. He is the Team
Physician and Assistant Coach for the
Hendersonville High School Ice Hockey team where
his son, Reid, plays. |
 |
In previous years, he served as Team Physician for
multiple high school teams in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as well
as being the treating physician for the dance program at Western
Kentucky University. Later, he was Team Physician for Beech High
School and Station Camp High School, locally. He also coached
Hendersonville Inline Hockey for a number of years. These
activities have introduced Dr. Landsberg to many local families
and young athletes in the community. This in turn allows him to
gain a better understanding of our community's orthopaedic
needs.
The doctor’s years of experience and close involvement in his
communities has gained a reputation that continues to bring
patients from many surrounding states.
 |
Dr. Landsberg is honored and humbled to serve on the Board of
Directors for Hendersonville Medical Center and is on the
Tri-Star Orthopaedic Advisory Board. He has been a member of the
Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce since 1993.
Dr. Landsberg enjoys sports such as cycling, snow skiing and
wind surfing, to name a few. He is an avid reader and a huge
hockey fan.
The Landsberg's have 5 children. Shauna, Amanda, Morgan, Reid
and Ben, who all reside in Hendersonville’s “City By The Lake.”
